The legal closure of the ICANS Health Cooperation Group (GCS) | Strasbourg Europe Cancer Institute marks a major step in the evolution towards a new project for public cancer care in the territory.
As of January 1, 2026, the Paul Strauss Cancer Center, now Strauss Institute, And Strasbourg University Hospitals offer distinct public cancer care options.
Good to know
Both facilities continue to welcome you on the ICANS care site, located at 17 rue Albert Calmette in Strasbourg.
After December 31, 2025, each patient followed at ICANS will retain their primary physician, according to their preference. They will be individually informed by the institution ensuring continuity of care of any potential new arrangements.
